For me, this is a very personal story told through clothes. 15 years ago I had no idea how many amazing women I would meet thanks to RISK, or how many clothes would grow out of our conversations, spontaneous messages, comments and chance meetings on the street. (Yes, I do sometimes stop you, because I can't help myself when I see someone wearing something that once existed only in my head ;)).
I love hearing you explain why one dress is "yours", why pockets matter far more than you might think, why you come back for the same model after a decade, and why something you once loved just isn't you anymore.
The truth is, conversations about clothes are never just about clothes. Much more often they are about something in life having changed and wanting to tell that story through what we wear. It might be a job, an address, a relationship, an opinion, a lifestyle, and sometimes all of it at once.
RISK has evolved thanks to these very conversations. So have I. They have taught me the most about design. And they were on my mind while I was creating the collection for our 15th birthday (and, as it happens, my 43rd, because I started out at 28 :)).
That's how the ALL ABOUT WOMEN collection came to be: 15 stories told through clothes. Brand new designs meet pieces that are part of RISK's history and that I wanted to revisit with a fresh mind ;). There are spectacular comebacks after years, as well as reinterpretations of cuts and prints you may already know. There's a story behind every one of these designs. Throughout October I'll be showing you what it is.
Dreamworld in a bold new version
The first drop is a brand new version of the Dreamworld print. Not as innocent as usual: strong, magnetic, shamelessly beautiful, impossible to miss wherever you go. There are only three designs here, all classics you love: the OPERA dress, the GO(LF) FOR IT dress and the SAWCIA LONGSLEEVE blouse. All of them were made in short, unique birthday runs. And if you fall in love with these colours but prefer a plain fabric, you'll find the intense blue of the print in the NATURAL BEAUTY dress in art blue.
A black mini with class
For contrast, there's also something black: a brand new MINI RISK skirt, an autumn, suiting-style mini. For everyone who loves both short lengths and chic in one. It has class and calm. Tailored to perfection. It looks beautiful with the black EWELINA LONG-SLEEVE blouse or the grey SIMPLY VAN GOLF turtleneck.
Birds of Warsaw, Rorschach and a new little black dress
Plus the Birds of Warsaw print, returning on the last models of this year, on the SIMPLY ME dress and the AGE OF AQUARIUS skirt.
There's also an anniversary colourway of the print inspired by the Rorschach test (the most ambiguous inkblots in the history of psychoanalysis) on the LIBERTY DRESS.
